What is Ragging? 

 

Noisy disorderly conduct / doing any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm/raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any Educational Institution/ teasing, abusing (mental, physical, sexual) or playing practical jokes/ incident behavior or causing hurt to such student / asking the new student to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course willingly do/criminal intimidation/wrongful re-strain, financial exploitation, financial extortion, use of force, etc.,

    What are the Punishments:-

    • Suspension of students
    • Banned from the Hostel
    • Fine
    • Withdrawal of his/her scholarship
    • Debarred from examinations
    • Dismissal of student
    • Denied admission to any Institution Imprisonment which may be extended up to two years
